Happy 4th Day of Hanukkah, Happy Saturday before Christmas, Happy Holidays to you all!
It’s been a while since I’ve been on posting duty. It was a much needed break, but I’ve missed this duty. Working full-time, raising two boys into kind, loving and respectful humans, life in general has been a bit crazy. Due to this, Eric and I have spent the last few weeks talking about what is important. We’ve come to realize we have too much “stuff” which takes time away from doing the things we long to do, like hikes with the kids, writing about the farm, even spending time together. Thus we have started the great purge of 2014, to welcome in a calmer 2015. We have started getting rid of toys that are thrown about, but not really played with. We have purged kitchen items that we think we might use sometime, if we have the right circumstances. After that, we plan to tackle the flood damaged basement and begin bringing that back to life. So, here I am back to doing one of the I love, talking about farm life with you all. Stay tuned, I promise to get back at posting!
For now, if your baking or looking for something delicious to make for the holidays, whole chickens and eggs by the dozen will be for sale at Salt Fork Kitchen today (Saturday December 20), tomorrow and Monday. Also, Salt Fork Kitchen will be open on New Years Day. They will be hosting a buffet from 9-2. How great is that? Drink a wee-bit too much on the 31st, and have a kick-ass meal prepared for you on the 1st by the wonderful folks at SFK! I think the boys and I will have to go up for that delicious bit of yummy!
We here at Salt Fork Farms wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
