Hello All,

Salt Fork will be at Deluxe tomorrow with a very limited number of eggs, chicken and a few other odds and ends at the usual time (9-12 or until supplies last).  Please come early for eggs and we apologize in advance if we are unable to meet the demand this week.  The weather has had a hand in keeping egg production at a extremely low level.

On the up-side, we will be accepting CSA memberships for the 2013 growing season!  Seed orders are being made as we speak, new chicks have been ordered, and it’s time to begin planning another farm year of production.  Our CSA will operate just as it did last year, with a minimum buy-in contribution of $250 and a maximum of $400.  Contributions will be recorded as credit to be used for purchases made during the Iowa City Farmers’ Market season, which roughly runs from the first part of May until the end of October.  We are expecting to fill 50 memberships this year and would like to begin as soon as possible getting ready to begin growing your food!  We will again be growing a wide assortment of vegetables, some fruit, eggs, chickens, and turkeys.  If you are interested, please sign up as soon as you can and if you know anyone who you think might be interested, please let them know.

We look forward to another great year as your local food producers.

See you soon,

Eric
