It turns out chicken feed and greenhouses do mix!

Today we are having 2 tons of chicken feed delivered from Solon, and we should be receiving our greenhouse materials from Dyersville. Also, I will go check on the transplants over at Kroul Farms. Transplants are growing fast and we need to get our own building up before they become too cramped over there. Meanwhile, we are planning on moving chickens to another location with more pasture potential. That will likely happen in the next 1 to 2 weeks! I’ll be cleaning out the hen-mobile and making some minor repairs on it and then loading them up and driving them down the road! This will give me space for the hen chicks that are rapidly outgrowing their brooder.

In other news, we are now orchardists! Don’t expect loads of fruit on our market stand, but we are rehabilitating an old orchard and will hopefully reap some rewards this summer and fall!
